Privacy Policy — Nimbrio

Nimbrio (“the App”) is a personal proxy client. This Privacy Policy describes what information the App handles and how it is used. The App is designed so that we, the developer, never see your data.

Summary

• We collect no personal information. Nimbrio has no analytics, no telemetry, and no account system.
• We operate no proxy servers. You bring your own server configurations (provided by you or your subscription provider).
• Your traffic stays between you and your servers. Nimbrio’s tunnel runs entirely on your device using open-source Xray-core; we cannot read, inspect, or log it.

What Nimbrio Stores Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only inside Nimbrio’s app container on your device. It is not transmitted to us or any third party we control.

All on-device data is deleted when you uninstall Nimbrio.

What Nimbrio Does NOT Collect

• We do not collect personally identifiable information (name, email, phone, address).
• We do not collect device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, advertising IDs).
• We do not collect contacts, calendars, photos, or location.
• We do not log, store, or analyze the websites you visit or the data you transfer through the proxy.
• We do not sell or share any data with advertisers.

Network Requests Made by Nimbrio

Nimbrio makes the following network requests on your behalf:

1. Your proxy server(s) — When the tunnel is on, traffic from other apps is forwarded to the server you configured. Nimbrio does not control the destination, and traffic content is not visible to us.
2. Your subscription provider — When you tap “Refresh” on a subscription or your auto-refresh interval elapses, Nimbrio fetches your provider’s node list from the URL you supplied.
3. Latency probes — When you tap “Test”, Nimbrio performs a TCP handshake to each server to measure round-trip time. No application data is sent.

No requests are made to servers operated by us.

Permissions Nimbrio Requests

• Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription) — To scan QR codes containing proxy server configurations. The camera is only active while you are on the scan screen.
• Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription) — To read images you select for QR-code decoding. Nimbrio reads only the image(s) you pick.
• VPN Configuration — iOS requires explicit user consent to add a VPN configuration. Nimbrio uses this as a NEPacketTunnelProvider, which is the Apple-sanctioned way to forward device traffic to a local proxy core.

Open-Source Components

Nimbrio’s proxy core is the open-source Xray-core project (Mozilla Public License 2.0). All proxy protocol logic, encryption, and traffic routing is performed by Xray-core running on your device.

Children’s Privacy

Nimbrio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Substantive changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. We encourage you to periodically review this page.

This Privacy Policy reflects Nimbrio version 1.0. Future versions may introduce additional features (e.g., optional crash reporting). If we ever add a feature that collects information, we will update this policy and require explicit opt-in.
